A poster or digital display advertising an art exhibition called 'AMALGAMATE' with works by Jun Lee and Adrienne Dunkerley. The event features an opening reception on November 15th at 6:30 PM at OZ Arts, located at 107 East 5th Street, Nashville, Tennessee. The poster has a colorful, abstract background with wavy patterns in pastel shades and includes small illustrations of art supplies and creative tools.
A metal hamster wheel with a small figurine inside, set on a wooden surface with a ball of gray thread nearby and a textured gray background.

I made this kinetic sculptural piece in light of returning to OzArts 10 years on. It’s named after part of the city motto of Detroit, Spearamus Meliora, we hope for better things. Reckoning with autonomy in my home country, moving backwards, repeating cycles round in circles and trapped. I’m thinking of Michigan friends and better days ahead of us with a steady balance to keep flying.
